Practical yachting courses

We provide training and preparation for Small Vessel Operators to obtain an international certificate allowing them to operate motor and sailing pleasure craft up to 24 meters in length, in unrestricted open sea areas and inland waters.

Exam preparation, practical training, and radio operator courses are primarily conducted on an individual basis.

Start dates and times are flexible and can be arranged to suit the student’s schedule.

Exams are held in Estonia and are administered by a qualified commission from the Estonian Maritime Administration. The certificate is issued by the Estonian Transport Administration, TRANSPORDIAMET.

• International Code of Signals;
• Sound signalings;
• CEVNI;
• Boat/yacht’s rigging and working with them;
• Meteorology;
• Radio and Radio communication;
• First aid;
• Sea knots;

• General questions;
• Mooring/Unmooring operations;
• Berthing at the pier and at anchor;
• Sailing yacht management;
• Sailing a yacht in different wind and wave directions;
• Magnetic compass Magnetic compass-Use and maintenance;
• Man overboard – rules for maneuvering a yacht;
• Equipment for pleasure boats and yachts;
• GPS Application;
• Navigation charts – reading symbols, planning and plotting a route;
• VHF / SRC Operator;
• Theoretical exam: test, task on the sea chart (plotting);
• Before the exam, you must pass a medical commission.
